Does my website needs a tune-up
/ optimization ?
There is no doubt about it.
Every website can be improved.
You may have a fantastic site but lurking behind the beauty are problems
you are not aware of. Do you know if your HTML is clean or the density
of your keywords? We can answer these questions and many others.
To get the most from your website it should be optimized.
We will do a website analysis.
You will receive a complete evaluation report with summaries of what is
right and wrong with your site. We do not simply run one optimization
check but we combine 9 analysis tools with our personal evaluation. The
results are great.
If our analysis does not give you the information you need to substantially
improve your site we will give you your money back.
Website Tune up package include:
1. Analyze your HTML code for errors.
Believe it or not, as many as 90% of the web pages on line today, including
many (if not most) major corporate web sites, do not validate or even
meet ADA requirements.
That is, they have simple coding oversights (or errors) that can keep
some computers from displaying your web site as you intend it to be displayed.
While it looks great on your computer, it may look rather silly on a computer
your customer may be using.
Simple coding errors can cause a lot of problems, from slow loading through
a disorganized look. Perhaps even error messages when someone clicks on
a link to one of your pages. In fact, in some extreme cases the customer
may not be able to view it at all. Furthermore,
incorrectly coded pages may be hard to catalogue by some search engines
and thus effectively lose prospective customers for you.
2. Check your loading time.
Optimizing your web page loading time is essential for keeping your visitors.
If your pages load time is too long due to un-optimized images, people
simply leave your site before it is loaded! This way, you might miss out
many sales.
It is shocking to see the amount of online web stores that do not know
this. We optimized shops that took over 8 (!) minutes to load on a standard
56k modem. Obviously, these shops did not have many clients.
3. Check for dead links.
It is the essential for site administrators, e-businessmen - all those
who want to maintain the quality of their web sites and improve customer
experience by keeping track of broken links and checking the accuracy
of HTML code. We'll check your page for broken or dead links and give
suggestions for fixing them.
4. Evaluate graphics optimization.
Evaluates all images on your site for whether they can and should be compressed
more, and gives recommendations based on our findings. (We can offer a
separate image optimization service.)
5. Check browser compatibility.
These types of test require extensive knowledge of standards and specifications,
tools for analysis, and, for compatibility testing, a testing lab with
different operating systems, browsers, and configurations. We can provide
you with the confidence that your site or application meets standards,
functions correctly, and functions and looks right in a variety of environments.
6. Review the design and appeal.
A detailed analysis and suggestions for improvement will be provided which
you can use to improve your website, along with a harmonized color scheme
if applicable. It is rare that we cannot find elements that can be improved
to the betterment of both the company's presentation and the visitor experience.
7. Rate the navigation.
Does the entry page have effective navigation (i.e., menu, index, limited
options)?
Is the navigation between primary to secondary levels efficient (i.e.,
menus, returns)?
Is the navigation within pages effective (i.e., overviews, lists, headings,
anchors, returns)?
Customers can feel lost when using a site that is not well organized.
We will rate your navigation and provide full report with suggestions.
8. Analyze keyword density.
Do you know how your customers find your web site?
What are the Internet search terms most used to locate your products or
services?
Are all of these terms incorporated somewhere within your web site?
If not, substantial number of customers never have the opportunity to
see your website, let alone purchase from you, because they will go to
a competitor who has done their homework.
We will do the research and homework for you and provide a full keyword
analysis report for your web site, to give you an edge over your competitors.
9. Check meta tags.
Meta tags provide a useful way to control your summary in some search
engines. Meta tags can also help you provide keywords and descriptions
on web pages! There is a lot of incorrect information online about Meta
tags, their usage, and exactly what effect, if any, they have on the traffic
to your web site.
Realistically, Meta tags do indeed work but there is more to their creation
and usage than placing a bunch of keywords into the keyword tag that you
want your web site to be found for and embedding them into your web pages.
There are several search engines that no longer place high relevance on
several of the tags but that should not stop you using them in a correct
manner.
One of biggest mistakes with using Meta tags is that people do not know
there must be a significant relevance between the keywords you are trying
to target and the words in the visible text of the page. The keywords
you are trying to target must be used through the body of the web page
as well as in the title and description of that web page for it to be
effective.
If you have worked on your site for some time now and still not seeing
results, then a "site tuneup" could be your ticket to
better rankings !
